MET tuition is charged on a per-course basis; students do not pay full program costs in one lump sum. There are different tuition fee amounts for domestic and international students.
Refer to the UBC Graduate Tuition Fees for current MET tuition rates. Course materials and annual student fees are not included in the tuition fee.
*Tuition fees are in Canadian dollars, are reviewed annually by the UBC Board of Governors, and are subject to change.
The 2016/17 tuition fee for domestic students in the MET program is $1,554.22 per course.
*Historically, the change for domestic tuition has been a 2% increase per year (beginning in May).
The 2016/17 tuition fee for international students in the MET program is $1,752.30 per course.
*As indicated by UBC Board of Governors policy, for students who begin their program in 2016/2017, there will be a 3% increase in the subsequent years of their program, applied in the May of each subsequent year.
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required each academic session before the student can register in courses. The due date for the remaining tuition can be found in the student’s UBC account. Tuition payments can be made online, by mail, or through your Canadian financial institution.
