Program Overview

ITESM Partnership Update

The Master of Educational Technology program was initially developed as a joint degree program between UBC and Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. This allowed students to receive a joint degree parchment upon graduation and to register in courses at either institution to complete their degree.

The collaboration began in 2002 and the development of the program continues to be a success for both UBC and Tec de Monterrey. Recently both parties agreed that it is time to dissolve the joint degree aspect of the program and for both institutions to continue developing and delivering the program independently. Please note that this proposal is in process and is subject to final approval by both institutions.

The UBC program requirements and courses will remain the same, as posted on this website. New students who wish to take a course through Tec de Monterrey will be able to do that as per the procedure for registering in courses at any other university (view FAQ #7).
