Tuition and fees
Each of the courses in the MET program costs $1,435.86 (CDN). Tuition is charged on a per-course basis; students do not have to pay full program costs in one lump sum.
Course materials and annual student fees are not included in this tuition fee.
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required each academic session before the student can register in courses. The due date for the remaining tuition can be found in the student's UBC account.
Tuition payments can be made online, by mail, or through your Canadian financial institution. For a good explanation of how the deposit works, check out this blog post from the "EPLT Online" blog. (Some of the dollar amounts are outdated because the post dates back to 2007, but you can find current tuition rates at the link below.)
Refer to the UBC Graduate Tuition Fees for current MET tuition rates.
Tuition fees are in Canadian dollars, are reviewed annually by the UBC Board of Governors, and are subject to change.
Student Loan Eligiblity
Any student in the MET program must be registered in a minimum of 9 credits to be eligible for full-time student loans, unless they are approved to study at a reduced courseload due to a permanent disability.
