“I am a teacher, educational researcher, and designer of critical, creative, and playful online learning experiences and environments. I obtained my PhD in Education from the University of Ottawa and subsequently worked as an Adjunct professor in the Graduate Degree in Education Program at Queen’s University. Throughout my career, I have worked with national and international organizations including The Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF/FCE) and MediaSmarts in collaboration with Google to address educational challenges and opportunities posed by the digital era. At UBC, I work as an instructor in the Master of Educational Technology (MET) program and as a Curriculum and Evaluation Consultant in the Learning Design and Digital Innovation Unit (LDDI). I delight in small moments of curious discovery whether in nature, the digital world, or the cosmos. What I enjoy most about teaching in the MET program is collaborating with students to identify and continuously refine our distinctive, complex, and beautiful processes of meaning-making as we learn from one another and weave together our local, national, and global identities, communities, and perspectives.”
