MET Hackathon

MET Hackathon

June 7, 2026 | Online | 1:00–5:00 PM PST

The MET Hackathon is supported by Canva, whose sponsorship helped fund student prizes and support creative experimentation at the intersection of education and technology!

The MET Hackathon is a fast-paced, collaborative online event where participants will work together to respond creatively to a shared challenge.

The event will run from 1:00–4:00 pm Pacific Time, followed by presentations and judging from 4:00–5:00 pm.

Participants will work in small groups of two to four members. Those who sign up individually will be placed into groups at the start of the event, so there is no need to form a team in advance. Once the hackathon begins, groups will receive the prompt and instructions, then move into breakout rooms to develop their project or response.

Each group will have approximately three hours to create their project, prepare a two-minute elevator pitch, and design an accompanying Canva poster. During the final hour, groups will present their pitch and poster to the judges, who will then deliberate and announce the prize winners.
