Ernesto Peña, PhD

MET Adjunct Professor

MET Courses: ETEC 540

“I am a professional designer, a proud educator, and independent researcher. My research interests include visual literacy, visual rhetoric, visual semiotics, visualization methods for digital humanities, and other design topics, such as typography and text composition. My involvement with the MET started as a student, an experience that I enjoyed greatly, and which also give me a holistic view of the program and the course that I currently teach. Besides my academic activities, I am currently Director of Research in a Financial Technology company based in Vancouver, B.C.”
